What are the main ingredients?

How and where are they made?

Each of our premium bath bombs is made by hand at our manufacturing facility in Idaho. We start by small-batch mixing our proprietary blend of premium vitamin- and antioxidant-rich ingredients. Each bath bomb is then carefully hand-packed and left to cure for just the perfect amount of time. They are then wrapped, boxed and ready for you! Producing small batches as needed helps us ensure you are getting only the freshest, most effective product.

What makes bath bombs fizz?

It’s a reaction between two of the ingredients: sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. They do not react when dry, but when added to water, they react to create a fun, fizzy experience. This reaction helps the bath bomb break apart, releasing a flurry of moisturizing ingredients, fragrance and color.

What makes Scentsy Bath Bombs different?

Our handcrafted bath bombs are the perfect blend of vitamin-packed, antioxidant-rich moisturizing ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, olive oil, kaolin clay, shea butter and aloe. We infuse these ingredients with just the right amount of authentic Scentsy fragrance, leaving you refreshed and relaxed — and your skin amazingly soft.

How long will they be available?

Because they’re made in small batches, Scentsy Bath Bombs are limited in quantity and available only while supplies last.

Do they color my bathtub?

In our evaluation, we have not experienced this issue. They are made with water soluble colors to provide a beautiful, as well as fragrant, experience.

Do they contain any ingredients that may cause skin irritations?

As with all skin-contact products, there is a chance of a mild reaction. If you have sensitive skin, you may consider testing on a small area of skin before full use.

Is there glitter or a surprise inside?

Not at this time.

How many can I use at a time?

One bomb per bath is recommended, but feel free to combine fragrances as desired. If you have a large bathtub, you may consider using a second for added fragrance.

Will it stain my skin?

These products have been tested and do not cause skin staining.

How long does the fragrance last?

It varies, but you’ll be able to smell it in your bathroom hours after use.

How big are they?

5.3 oz., roughly the size of a baseball.

What is the shelf-life of bath bombs?

Approximately six months.

Do bath bombs fall under the Satisfaction Guarantee?

What type of dye is used in the bath bombs?

FDA-approved dyes for external cosmetics.

Are bath bombs free of chemicals (parabens, sulfates)?

Our bath bombs are paraben-free, but not sulfate-free. The sulfates help create a fun foam and cleansing. 

Are bath bombs available for half-price and free Host Rewards?

Yes.

Will more fragrances be made available?

As with any product, we will evaluate the success and determine whether or not it makes sense to offer additional fragrances.

Will bath bombs ever be offered in catalog?

Today at Scentsy's Annual Convention in Kansas City 2017, Scentsy introduced it's new portable, and first-ever battery-powered rechargeable product.

Battery Powered Design

This new Scentsy Go product is available in Rose Gold and Silver that are 5.5 inches tall. They come with a USB cord to recharge the battery inside. That means you don't have to plug it in to use it, and can take it anywhere with you.  I find it fits perfectly in the cup holder in my car!

Customized Fragrance

With the Scentsy Go product you can customize the strength of the fragrance and adjust the color and light! To vary the strength of the fragrance, turn on your unit by pressing the top button on the side until you see the indicator light glow white.  This will turn it on full strength, and the fan will constantly disperse the fragrance.

Press the same button again and the indicator light will glow green and your unit will then turn on and off intermittently for a more subtle scent experience and increase battery life.

Custom Colors

You also have the ability to choose the color and lights of your unit. You can enjoy the full 7 color LED light display or press the lower button on the side to pause on the color of your choice. This new fragrance system uses new Scent pods for an instant, portable fragrance experience that can be recharged with a USB cord. 

How does the new Scentsy Go emit fragrance?

The Scentsy Go uses Scentsy Pods which are small pods filled with scented beads. Air flows through the scent pods into the air to immediately fragrance your space.

You can fit two Scent Pods inside, so you can use just one for a more understated fragrance or two for a stronger scent experience.

If you're feeling wild and crazy, you can even mix and match and put in two different Scentsy fragrances and come up with your own creative scent as the two scent pods are fanned into the air!

Was Scentsy on Back to the Future?

Scentsy on Back to the Future? 

The Scentsy we know today, a recognized fragrance leader and innovative producer of quality ceramic, glass, and other styles of Warmers, Diffusers, Scentsy Buddies, and other scent-throw products, wasn't always as well-known as it is today. And certainly wasn't well-known back in the 80's when Back to the Future 2 was being filmed since Scentsy the company was launched in 2004. Which begs the question how is it that a Scentsy Warmer was spotted in a frozen frame in the future kitchen of Marty McFly?

The Scentsy Warmer spotted in the clip shown above is the Officially Licensed Scentsy Chicago Cubs Warmer. This Scentsy Warmer, nor any of the officially licensed professional baseball licensed Scentsy Warmers were even a thought in the 1980's when Back to the Future was being filmed so it is quite odd that it would show up in the movie. Interestingly, you may remember that the newspaper headline Marty reads from the paper in the future - "Cubs Sweep Series in 5". Apparently the directors of Back to the Future were fans of both the Chicago Cubs and safe, wickless candle products that can scent your entire home AND allow you to show your support of your favorite baseball team!

Scentsy Professional Baseball Warmers are great gifts for Fathers Day which is probably why it was in the McFly's kitchen and it was apparently soon after the Cubbies swept the series in 5 games so they must have just been using it when friends came to watch the game. Now, what we didn't see in Back to the Future 2 was what Marty chose to do after he got Fired! They had to Buy Scentsy from somewhere and it's likely that it was a good friend, but who knows, maybe that good friend had talked with Lorraine before about becoming a Scentsy Consultant and now that Marty is quite obviously Fired she thinks it's time to give it a whirl!

Who knows Marty could have became a Scentsy Consultant! Imagine floating Scentsy warmers, hoverboard style, and a Scentsy Warmer in the shape of the DeLorean or the flex capacitor. I'm guessing that with Lorraine by his side, the two would be quite the dynamic duo and earn Scentsy incentive trips and finally get out from under the thumb of Biff! Based on the pricing of the milkshakes in the 80's cafe, $99 to join Scentsy would be a great deal! And actually, I don't know if I see Marty signing up, he's just not a very confident guy, especially after he gets canned but I do see Lorraine taking $99 from a secret stash she had been setting aside and signing up under a friend and bringing Marty into it. It would probably take Lorraine earning a free trip or being able to buy Marty his own hoverboard that would really get him excited to join as a Scentsy Consultant.

Scentsy for George Washington

What Scentsy Warmer Would George Washington Have in His Home? 

 

So taking what we know about the first Commander-in- Chief we can make some assumptions as to what kind of Scentsy products he'd have in his home. The first thing that came to mind was Cherry Trees. Scentsy used to have a Cherry Tree Scentsy Warmer but that's since been discontinued so we can cross that off the list. That was a given. Scentsy does have a new, fantastic scent called Sugared Cherry which would be a perfect scent for this time of year and given his penchant for Cherry Trees I think he would love the whispy, clean aroma of sweet, sugared cherries...who doesn't?! 

Interesting fact - George Washington is the only US President that didn't live in the White House. He selected the site for the White House and the approved the design but finished his term as President before it was completed. George Washington lived in a home in Philadelphia, PA which was the functioning Capitol of the USA at the time.

In 1794 George Washington signed the Naval Act authorizing the construction of 6 frigates thereby creating the Navy. So while I'm sure Mr. Washington was just as big a fan of the ocean as any other guy I don't see him theming his whole home around it. The ocean does tend to be a popular theme for bathrooms.

Come to think of it, they didn't have indoor plumbing yet so we're talking about the outhouse now. I'm guessing most folks didn't really care what their outhouses looked like inside since they'd just as soon get out of a stinky, bug infected, freezing or hot outhouse (depending on the time of year), rather than enjoy the seaside decor. So we're not looking for a Scentsy Warmer, now we're looking for a pleasant aroma when duty calls. So if I were Mr. Washingtons Scentsy Consultant back in the day I would have encouraged him to line the walls of ye ol' outhouse with Scent Circles that celebrate his creation of the Navy. Some classics are Scentsy Ocean, Scentsy By the Sea, Scentsy Atlantic Air, Scentsy Bonfire Beach, or Scentsy Pacific Daydream. Martha would have been on my side with this one.

Back in the home, George had a lot of hobbies and so there are plenty of Scentsy Warmers I would have probably suggested for him and Martha. One might have been the "I Love Dogs" Scentsy Warmer.  Apparently, among his hobbies of farming and hunting, Mr. Washington also enjoyed breeding dogs. Probably hunting dogs, who knows, maybe even French Poodles to thank the French for their support. Either way, the man liked dogs.  The second suggestion below "Moose Valley" Scentsy Warmer Wrap is a nod to his love of hunting.

The last two Scentsy Warmers I'd recommend to Martha. I'm guessing she enjoyed the occasional tea and the English Breakfast Scentsy Warmer would be a fitting warmer fancy enough to grace Mt. Vernon or the President's house in Philadelphia. I'd also recommend a Scentsy Diffuser and point her in the direction of the Scentsy Enliven Diffuser with it's classic design and clean, white finish. Apparently, the hubs, Mr. George Washington, had a passion for interior decorating and design and meticulously decorated his Mount Vernon home, where he hosted elaborate dinner parties so an elaborate Scentsy Diffuser would be a great addition.

Many people as the question:  "How much money can you make by selling Scentsy?"  Income for Scentsy consultants varies, but the potential for income is as much as you want to make it, and are willing to work for!  The opportunity is wide open, dependent on the effort you put in. 

As a Scentsy consultant, you can earn between 20-36% commissions for all sales and bonuses, and can make even more from leadership bonuses as a result of growing a team.

Can you make money selling Scentsy?

The answer is yes! 

Sales Commissions

If you look at the chart, you can see that Scentsy consultants always earn commissions for their sales. Those who made $0 didn't sell any Scentsy at all in the calendar year, or they would have made commissions.  So, the more Scentsy products a Consultant sells, the more money they make.  

As you look down the chart further, you can see the incomes drastically increase.  That is a reflection of the extra money that is made in addition to personal sales commissions, called Leadership Bonuses. 

Leadership Bonuses

A consultant can earn Leadership bonuses depending on their rank, which means they can be paid a percentage of the total sales of their whole team.  The more a leader mentors and helps his/her team perform better, and the larger the team, the more earning potential from Leadership Bonuses.  Those making the most money work their Scentsy business through a combination of selling Scentsy, and growing and mentoring their teams to success.

WHY is it important to start strong?

You really can make your Scentsy business what you want of it, and there's no pressure from me or Scentsy to do anything.  However, if you really want to be successful with your new business, a good start is important. 

Pay off Starter Costs

First, there's no better satisfaction than paying off your Scentsy Consultant business startup costs - everything after that is profit! It helps to minimize the startup risks too; if you decide to quit, you won't have debts to repay.  And secondly, money is a great motivator and convincer.

I have a Scentsy Consultant friend whose husband was a little less than supportive. Not a hater, just not very enthusiastic about his wife's new business. Well, long story short he saw a surround sound stereo system he wanted and his wife said she'd buy it for him with her Scentsy income the next month. He muttered a "yeah, sure" under his breath and forgot all about it.

Three weeks later when he saw the new surround sound stereo in his family room he was a believer and is now a very supportive Scentsy husband. 🙂

Earning money really gets some wind in your sails, so make a goal to earn enough money to pay for something significant to you - a phone bill, cover a date night or two, a car payment, or even a mortgage - whatever it is, make it relevant to you. The nice thing about being a Scentsy Consultant is that it's pretty straight forward how to earn money.

Start with a Goal

Make a goal of how much you'd like to earn and it's pretty simple to figure out how you can earn that money. I started with a $500 goal. I chose $500 because it's a great chunk of change that's high enough to impact your budget, but that doesn't take a massive time to earn.

*I will show you in this blog post how you can absolutely do this, but as with anything, results may vary.  The government requires that I advise you that, although the opportunity is wide open for anyone to do this, not everyone will, as is shown in the Scentsy Income Disclosure Statement. Map Out Your Goal

You can always shoot for more, but I think a check for $500* is a great place to start. You can pay off your starter kit cost with part of that ($100), then still make $400 profit to keep.  A $500 paycheck would require $2,000 PRV in sales (earning 25% commission).  So, following the math, that's only 4 parties of $500 each.

You get to choose how you like to grow your Scentsy business.  Your determination and creativity are your greatest assets so don't give up on yourself before you've really given it a good try.

While you're sharing and helping customers buy Scentsy, remember to invite anyone to join your Scentsy team with you. When you begin your Scentsy Consultant career you are able to tap into 1 of the 10 ways you can earn money as a Scentsy Consultant and only 2 of those have to do with your own sales. All of the remaining levels reflect how well you do at growing your team and helping them take care of their customers and grow their own teams! So the fastest way to really grow your income is to keep growing your customer base, while growing and leading a team of Scentsy Consultants, to help them rock their own businesses.

Launching a Scentsy business can be kind of a crazy experience. I mean, you just started your own business! You are finally your own boss! But that coin has two sides - not only are you your own boss, but now it all depends on you! That thought can be very scary. 

Okay, pause, before you get sweaty palms, sit - let’s break it down.

You Can Do It

First, seriously you got this. Really, I don’t doubt you can rock this. Know this, 1 great party or 2 good parties and you’ve paid off your startup costs. How cool is that? Everything after that is icing on the cake!

Seriously, anyone that can turn on a Scentsy Warmer is capable of earning back the $99 you paid to launch your new biz. 🙂 It’s not rocket science it’s largely persistence and determination. We’ve been doing this since 2008 and we've seen dozens if not hundreds of people join Scentsy - some rock - others roll. The greatest difference between them is whether or not they stick with it. It’s really all in your hands.

Start Strong

If you’re considering joining Scentsy and becoming a Scentsy Consultant, there are some amazing incentives that can ONLY be earned in your first 15 or 70 days as a Scentsy Consultant. Once those days pass they’re gone, you can’t earn them any more.

Shooting Star Award

One of the incentives is called the Shooting Star Award. Basically you sell 500 in PRV (approx. $500 USD) in your first 15 days.  You are then eligible to purchase a kit of Scentsy products at an amazing price. 

This helps you have products to be able to demo at a party, fair, show, Facebook party, or however you want to use them! And that’s great, but in my opinion there is a far better incentive to focus on to really get your Scentsy business off to an awesome start.

Scentsational Start Program

Earning the Shooting Star Award puts you on a good path to earn the Scentsational Start Awards too.  You didn’t ask but I’ll tell you - the single greatest way to launch your business is to take advantage of the Scentsational Start Program. Why?

Scentsy has shared the results of research they’ve done that indicates that those who earn Scentsational Start go on to become Directors. Not only that but earning Scentsational Start gives you product credit, an exclusive warmer, recognition at Scentsy Family Reunion, oh, and did I mention product credit?!

Level 1 starts with $50 in product credit and that goes up to $225 at Level 3, how awesome is that!?

Three Levels to Earn

There are three levels of Scentsational Start and each level can be earned in two different ways. One way is entirely through sales and the other is a combo of sales and recruiting. I’d encourage you to go with the combo just because that puts you in a great position to grow your team and helps you develop habits that give you a foundation for long-term success. After all, you’ve got your sights set on earning a free trip right?! Life as a Scentsy Consultant has taken us to places like Greece, New York, the Dominican Republic, Cancun, Nashville, and more - for free. I have yet to meet someone who hates free travel. 🙂

Level 1

Now, let’s take a quick walk through it. The chart above is pretty self-explanatory but let me add some details. First, notice that if you earn Scentsational Start Level 1 through sales you have also earned the Shooting Star Kit AND promoted to Certified Consultant AND entirely paid off your startup costs AND earned an automatic, permanent pay raise (you go from earning 20% to 25% on your sales). Not bad! Not bad a’tall! 😉

Level 2

Now let’s look at Scentsational Start Level 2. If you earn Level 2 (either method - the sales or the combo) you’ve done all the same things as Level 1 but if you earn it through the combo method (in 1 month) you’ve double promoted to a Lead Consultant and now tap into 3 of the 10 ways you can get paid as a Scentsy Consultant! In addition to the awesome start you have and the glorious commission check that awaits you, you’ll also be awarded $125 in FREE product credit! That’s more than double the amount awarded for Level 1!

Level 3

Now, Scentsational Start Level 3. This is by far the Super Supremest way to launch your new Scentsy business! To earn this level you’ve got 70 days to sell 6,000 in PRV - that’s a lot, not undoable but again I’m going to steer you towards the combo method - 3,000 in PRV and 2 Active Consultants. Active means that your new teammates need to sell 200 in PRV (approx. $200 USD) in your first 70 days. Both methods are great but if you earn it with the combo method you are a Star Consultant! That means you’ve moved from Essential to Certified to Lead and finally Star and you’re tapping into 4 of the 10 ways you can make money as a Scentsy Consultant! And, bonus - you’ve just earned $225 in product credit!

So, it is a lot of work but it’s by no means out of reach.  If you’re going to launch your biz might as well go big or go home.  This helps you really get set up to promote to Director AND you get FREE product credit!
