Scentsy Starter Kit: will arrive very soon, but you can get started selling Scentsy before your kit even arrives. You are official the minute you click submit to join! You now have a personalized website (free for 3 months, then only $10/month, so get that website working for you!!), so put up your launch party on your website and share the link to anyone and everyone. Share your website link on facebook and email it out to friends and family, as well as any previous contacts from school, work, etc. Remember, anyone can order on your website from anywhere in the country, so don't limit yourself to local contacts.
Shooting Star Enhancement Kit: you have 15 days from the day you sign up to earn this award and be able to purchase this awesome kit. You need to sell $500 PRV in your first 15 days to qualify. I have attached the flyer below for you to see all of the amazing things you can get to help you start your Scentsy business at a huge discount.
Scentsational Start Levels 1-3: Three different levels of qualifications, with three different award levels. Think you would like to sell Scentsy, but not sure how to join and become a Scentsy consultant? It's super easy to join Scentsy and as your Sponsor I'll help you kickstart your Scentsy business.
First, here are the answers to some of the frequently asked questions I get asked by new Scentsy Consultants or people considering becoming a Scentsy Consultant.
Answers to basic questions I am often asked about joining Scentsy.
How do I join?
Once you join to sign up, you're immediately a consultant with a new business. It only takes a minute to join on my Scentsy website, and you can get started!
Who is my Scentsy Sponsor?
Scentsy is a direct selling company so to become a Scentsy Consultant you need to find a current Scentsy Consultant that you will feel will help you have success and join their Scentsy team. The current Scentsy Consultant whose team you join is your Sponsor. You can join Scentsyright now, and I will be your sponsor.
You do NOT have to join under someone local (my team is all over the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and Germany). Scentsy does not divide Consultants into territories. That means you can choose me as your sponsor, wherever you live!
Once you've enrolled as a new Scentsy Consultant, you canNOT change sponsors, so choose someone who can help you, and with whom you would like to work.
What is a Scentsy Starter Kit?
In the USA it's $99 to join and sell Scentsy, which includes the enrollment kit / starter kit you will receive. This Scentsy Starter Kit is sent from a Scentsy warehouse (Texas, South Carolina, or Idaho) within two business days, so you can get started right away, but you can sell and recruit the minute you sign up to sell Scentsy.
The Scentsy Starter Kit contents are packed with lots of Scentsy products for you to experience and show to your customers! You'll receive everything you need to sell Scentsy and get started.
Can I Start Selling and Recruiting Before I Get My Starter Kit?
Yes! Once you're enrolled you have a Scentsy Website where customers can buy Scentsy to their hearts content. That's where your own new team members can join as well. You will also have an online based workstation where you as a Consultant can go in and submit orders for your customers.
Can I have a Scentsy Website?
Yes! Once you enroll as a new Scentsy Consultant you are provided a FREE Personal Website for the first 3 months. After that you may choose to pay $10/month for a Scentsy Website. Scentsy updates all the products, pricing, promotions and images for the website so you don't have to do anything!
How do I Sell Scentsy?
You do not have to have home parties to sell Scentsy. There are many ways to sell, such as catalog parties, online selling, sell at events, facebook parties, basket parties (like a book party), or sell to just family and friends. Fundraisers are also a great way to get sales and support a great cause. Another great way to expand your networks is set up a booth at a bazaar or fair.
There is no monthly requirement to remain a consultant. The only requirement is that you sell at least 200 in PRV in 1 of 12 months. And honestly, that's not really very challenging, you'll be surprised.
People can order directly from your Scentsy website (check out my Scentsy Website) and it will get shipped from the warehouse to your customers' front door.
Do I have to Buy Inventory?
No! You do NOT have to carry inventory. When someone wants to buy, you order the products they want, or they can order directly from your website. You are allowed to have inventory if you want, but it's not required.
How do I get paid as a Scentsy Consultant?
As a Scentsy Consultant, you do not get a discount upfront on the products you purchase. Instead, you get 20-25% commissions on everything you sell, even if it’s for you.
You do not get a signing bonus for each recruit; instead, you get to make money on their sales for as long as they are a Scentsy Consultant, depending on your rank. You can see the potential leadership bonuses in the Scentsy Compensation Plan.
Scentsy sends you a Scentsy Visa paycard after you join. Your commission from the previous month will be loaded in our PayPortal on the 10th of every month. You have the choice to have it transferred to your bank account or on the Scentsy Visa paycard.
Are there fast start awards?
There are incentives, promotions and awards you can earn as a Scentsy consultant. Some of those are awards you can only earn within the first few weeks when you join to sell Scentsy, so make sure to get started with a bang! Does Scentsy Have Monthly deals?

Velata Fondue Warmers!!
Velata is fondue made easy! A fun line of fondue warmers and premium Belgian chocolate melts. The Velata fondue warmers work similarly to current Scentsy wax warmers, with a 25-watt bulb in the base to keep the chocolate at just the right temperature. There will be 14 Velata warmers to choose from and 4 types of premium Belgian chocolate: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate caramel. Yumm!!!
Velata - a Scentsy Family Brand
On May 1, 2012 Scentsy launched Velata, a new Scentsy Brand - a fun, easy-to-use, and absolutely DELICIOUS fondue experience.
You already know that warmers + wax = a simple system. With Velata, warmers + CHOCOLATE = a simple, incredible, EDIBLE party experience. Scentsy executives flew to Belgium and met with the oldest and most prestigious chocolate manufacturers. They selected the highest quality, purest chocolate that would melt perfectly and taste divine. Velata will launch with velvety milk chocolate, creamy white chocolate, decadent dark chocolate, and indulgent caramel milk chocolate. Velata chocolate will come in convenient 6-ounce pouches with pour spouts. Simply microwave, pour into the Velata dish, dip your favorite foods, and enjoy.
There are 14 Velata fondue warmers to choose from that range from contemporary to traditional design. Velata fondue warmers use the same technology as other Scentsy warmers. Simply plug them in and their 25-watt bulbs will keep Velata chocolate at the perfect temperature. Velata fondue warmers will sell for $40 (USD) / $48 (CAD); chocolates will sell for $7 (USD) / $8 (CAD).
The difference between Velata fondue warmers and Scentsy warmers is the silicone dish. It's a simple dish that has a patent-pending technology to keep the chocolate at exactly the right temperature. A metal plate wrapped in silicone absorbs the heat from the 25-watt bulb. The silicone keeps the heat from escaping, prevents the chocolate from scorching, and can go from the refrigerator to the microwave to the dishwasher with ease. You can't do that with a fondue tower, or a traditional fondue pot!

Can I sell both Scentsy Group brands?
Yes! You can sell all brands Scentsy currently has launched, as well as any future new brands and product lines. You do NOT have to sell Scentsy if you don't want to. You can choose to only sell one brand, a few brands, or all brands; it's up to you. You CAN recruit for ALL brands, whether or not you choose to sell that particular brand!
Any Scentsy Family Consultant can sell and recruit for ANY of the Scentsy brands offered by Scenty Family and it will all be part of one downline (team). Usually in Direct Sales, a company will allow you to sign up and sell only one brand, and if you choose to sell any of their other brands, you have to start all over. That means each brand would be completely separate downlines, separate sales totals, etc. Scentsy Family has generously allowed Consultants to join and sell any or all of the brands under the Scentsy Family umbrella, and their whole Consultants under them from all brands make up the same downline and sales totals. Even if a Scentsy Consultant decides not to sell the new brands and product lines, he/she can still recruit for ALL of the Scentsy Family brands and benefit from those sales.
What if I sell for another Direct Sales company?
Scentsy just announced that they are NOT restricting Consultants from selling any Scentsy brands, regardless of if they are selling a similar Direct Sales product with a different company. You will not be able to earn money on your downline Directors and their teams if you are receiving Leadership Bonuses for another Direct Sales company however.

Scentsy is all about scent. It started out as only candle wax and lightbulb warmers, then expanded to include on-the-go Scentsy products, Scentsy Buddies, Scentsy Solid Perfumes, and now is expanding to let us experience world-class Scentsy fragrances in other areas of our lives. The current Scentsy brand is expanding also, and getting two now line extensions this spring in the new Spring/Summer 2012 Scentsy catalog. How fun! The two Scentsy new product lines are Sincerely Scent Online Card Store, and Layers by Scentsy - a bath, body and laundry fragrance product line.
1. Sincerely Scent Card Store
Scentsy will soon launch Sincerely Scent, an innovative new Scentsy product line extension: an online Scentsy greeting card store featuring over 150 original, customizable, SCENTED greeting cards. Customers will be able to order cards online and have them delivered to the recipients' addresses without buying stamps or going to the post office.
You can personalize Sincerely Scent cards with a customized message, favorite photo, and even a digital signature. You get to send the card of your choice and also which scent sample you choose from the Scentsy Favorites collection. Each Sincerely Scent card will be mailed with a sample infused with Scentsy fragrance, allowing the recipient to experience Scentsy as soon as they open the envelope. There are cards for every occasion, from birthdays and anniversaries to holidays. You can even send Scentsy business-building cards to your team!
Cards are purchased with credits, which are available in bundles of 10, 25, or 100. One card equals one credit, and includes postage and delivery. Each card costs $2.85 (USD) / $3.82 (CAD). Sincerely Scent cards are printed in the USA.
Sincerely Scent cards will be available to purchase hopefully by summer, 2012.
2. Layers by Scentsy
Scentsy launched a second new product line extension for Spring/Summer 2012: Layers by Scentsy--personal AND laundry care products infused with your favorite Scentsy fragrances and custom-designed for Scentsy. Scentsy worked with the best suppliers in the industry to bring you personal care products you will LOVE.
With Layers by Scentsy you can create a fragrance experience that is uniquely yours, and layer your life with fragrance.

Orville Thompson, Scentsy CEO, announced that Scentsy will launch a HUGE new brand extension before the next Scentsy Convention in July 2012 and create a completely new Scentsy Family brand and product line. He didn't give specifics as to exactly when the new brand and product line will launch, or give any hints as to what type of product line it might be, but whatever it is, it's sure to be a hit!

Should I Sell Scentsy?
I've recruited hundreds of people to join my Scentsy team and in every case, as they are considering becoming a Scentsy Consultant, they want to know what my favorite benefits are of being a Scentsy Consultant. Over the years that I've been a Scentsy Consultant, I think my favorite benefit has changed but here are some of my top favorite benefits of selling Scentsy and being a Scentsy Consultant.
Reason #1 - Free Travel!
Since I began selling Scentsy as a Scentsy Consultant, I've gone on countless trips with Scentsy! There is no better way to travel than with Scentsy! They take care of all the details and always do the fun things that I would never pay to do on my own if I took a trip to the same place! For example, my husband and I earned an all-expense paid trip to New York City a few years ago and the trip included an amazing dinner cruise on the Hudson with all the other earners and it was just fantastic to see New York City at night and the Statue of Liberty. I've earned several free trips to Cancun, an all-expense paid trip to Greece that included 2 nights on the island of Mykonos (this trip was for the top 100 point earners in the entire company!), Nashville, the Dominican Republic, several amazing cruises and more.
The first Incentive Trip I earned was an all-expense trip to the Dominican Republic at the amazing Hard Cafe Resort. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean with a hot tub and a balcony with a hammock! The resort was MUCH bigger than I imagined with a mini-golf course, archery, basketball (for the hubs), a great gym, amazing indoor shopping, fantastic shows and performances, and the best restaurants - and again everything was paid for so we could eat for free at any of the restaurants on the resort! It was an awesome first trip and it was fun to spend some relaxing time with my husband and get to party with other fantastic Scentsy Consultants!

When I began selling Scentsy as a Consultant in 2008 my motivation was almost entirely the extra income. My husband and I had started several new businesses and were still growing them so we were short on funds. My Scentsy business started out as a way to help cover the phone bill or help buy clothing for our ever-growing kids! When I began selling Scentsy as a Scentsy Consultant I had high hopes but didn't really know if it would work - I didn't know if I was the right kind of person (they say you have to "sales-y" - not so) or if I was too late and all the opportunity was gone, or if I would be able to help my new Consultants have the success they envisioned. Scentsy Consultants have a very collaborative culture so that along with my own efforts and some trial and error, I've been able to grow my team and take care of my customers to grow my income as a Scentsy Consultant. I know that if I can have the success I've had that you can have the same success, if you really want it and are willing to put in some work. I think you'd be surprised what Scentsy can do for you and your family.

This is such a big benefit! This includes the flexibility to not only work from the address you call home but to call a new address home, wherever you want that to be! We have several friends that have hit the road traveling the world as Scentsy Consultants and are still able to make it work and grow their business. Developing a Scentsy team as a Scentsy Consultant and developing leaders will help you really see the vision of the type of flexibility you can enjoy. It starts out meaning you don't have to worry about a commute, or running your cute kids to daycare, or rushing kids to doctor or dentist appointments and can truly become working from home, wherever you want that to be!
It also means you can avoid the morning rush at the gym, and exercise whenever you want - or just skip the whole thing altogether! 🙂 On top of that, you can wear whatever you want! Selling Scentsy as a Scentsy Consultant allows you to work from home if you aren't employed and means that you can work after hours at home parties, fundraisers, basket parties, online parties or etc to make some extra money! Forego the second job and work from home as a Scentsy Consultant! As a mother of 5 being able to work from home is a fantastic benefit! It sure makes my life less hectic since I don't need to run out and rush off to work.
I really felt like I wanted to be home with my little kids as they were growing up so I made that a priority for me and loved it! I was able to read stories and play games with my littles and then find a time to do Scentsy during nap times or in the evenings. My children don't seem to stop growing ( I know right!?) so it's been really nice to have been home with them as they were growing up and now when they come home from school and I can help with homework or talk about their day at school. Being a Scentsy Consultant has allowed me the flexibility to work out of my house and enjoy the growing-up years of our little kiddos.

Not only does Scentsy have an amazing compensation plan that pays well, but Scentsy also offers amazing new awards and recognition for it's top performers and brand new Consultants. Reason #5 - Amazing Friends!
This is one of my absolute favorite things about being a Scentsy Consultant - I've made a lot of amazing people and made some amazing friends! This is also probably the one thing that came as the biggest surprise to me. For whatever reason it never donned on me that as I earned free trips and grew a team of Scentsy Consultants that we would become such good friends and enjoy getting together! As a result of earning free trips, I've been able to meet so many people and have limitless crepes with them in Cancun or tour the wonders of the world like Chichen Itza and the Acropolis in Greece! Not only have we made great friends in the USA but since Scentsy is a boundary-less organization (I can recruit in any part of the world I'd like! Another amazing benefit!) I have friends from all over the world and get to travel to support my team!
It is so fun encounter so many different perspectives and ways of living and share common bonds and struggles. The friends I have made as a result of being a Scentsy Consultant are some of my absolute favorite. Very often, many of them are in the same stage of life as myself who joined for the same reason I did and now we can cheer each other on and be excited for each others successes! Beyond the free travel, income, and getting to spend more time with my family; making so many good friends has been an amazing and surprising benefit to being a Scentsy Consultant.
In summary, I think about why I sell Scentsy a lot. It helps me know what to say to people when they ask me that question. As a mom of 5 kids I love that I can sell Scentsy and stay home with my kids. I derive a lot of personal satisfaction knowing that I am building a sustainable business. I don't have to worry about finances now, and don't wonder what I would do if something were to happen to my husband and I'd have to be the sole supporter of my family. It is important that I am able to do this and not miss a moment with my kiddies, because I know these years will fly by.

Happy 9th birthday, Scentsy!
Since I began selling Scentsy as a Scentsy Consultant, I've gone on countless trips with Scentsy! There is no better way to travel than with Scentsy! They take care of all the details and always do the fun things that I would never pay to do on my own if I took a trip to the same place! For example, my husband and I earned an all-expense paid trip to New York City a few years ago and the trip included an amazing dinner cruise on the Hudson with all the other earners and it was just fantastic to see New York City at night and the Statue of Liberty. I've earned several free trips to Cancun, an all-expense paid trip to Greece that included 2 nights on the island of Mykonos (this trip was for the top 100 point earners in the entire company!), Nashville, the Dominican Republic, several amazing cruises and more.
When I began selling Scentsy as a Consultant in 2008 my motivation was almost entirely the extra income. My husband and I had started several new businesses and were still growing them so we were short on funds. My Scentsy business started out as a way to help cover the phone bill or help buy clothing for our ever-growing kids! Over time, my income as a Scentsy Consultant was able to cover the mortgage, in addition to the phone bill and clothing for our kids. Eventually, it took our kids on trips to Disneyland and other fun family trips, helped set aside for a rainy day, purchase a new home, and pay off cars, in addition to the phone bill, mortgage and clothes!
