Q: I’m not really a “sales-y” kind of person. Can I still be good at selling Scentsy?
A: Absolutely; I’m not a sales-y person either! At Scentsy, it’s all about relationships and great products, not hard sell tactics. If you enjoy socializing and sharing Scentsy products with friends and family, you have all the qualifications you need to succeed. Also, Scentsy products really do sell themselves; everyone who smells the Scentsy scents just can’t help but buy them for themselves, and always keep coming back for more Scentsy bars and gifts.
In fact, the complete lack of sales pressure and the simplicity of our products are the main reasons so many Scentsy customers decide to sign up to join Scentsy and become a Scentsy Consultant (my previous hosts make up many of my recruits!). That said, you can't sell in a brick and mortar store or sell Scentsy on ebay or other auction sites.

Q: How much can I expect to earn?
A: The amount you can earn depends completely on how much time and energy you want to invest. Scentsy Consultants make 20% – 30% commission on their own sales as well as additional bonuses on the sales of other Consultants they sponsor. Some Consultants sell Scentsy just enough to get their Scentsy products at a discount, while Superstar Directors can make six figure incomes per year.

Q: What kind of support and training does Scentsy Corporate provide?
A: At Scentsy, Consultants are truly sponsored and mentored, not just recruited. Along with support from me as your Scentsy Sponsor, you’ll get access to web-based training tools and an online forum for connecting with fellow Consultants. Scentsy will send you a New Consultant Start-Up Guide, promotional products and marketing tools. There are also weekly training calls and webinars for all Consultants.
Scentsy’s fully-staffed Consultant Support Department is available every weekday from 5 am to 10 pm (MST). We also hold an annual convention and seasonal training and networking events throughout the world.
Q: What kind of support and training do You provide?
A: Choosing the best Scentsy Sponsor as a mentor for you is such an important part of your success as a Scentsy Consultant. I value each of my recruits and personally train and mentor every one. That is probably the biggest frustration I see with Scentsy, is when a Consultant signs up to sell Scensty under a Sponsor who doesn’t provide the level of support and access that the new recruit needs.
I provide a variety of training support to my downline, including personal emails and phone calls specifically about you and your team, fun incentives to help keep you going, monthly local team meetings, a Scentsy team meeting broadcast if you can’t attend the meeting, and access to our private Scentsy team facebook page, where you can network with the other 400 Consultants in our group and post questions, get tips, and stay motivated. Q: What do I have to wear to present at parties?
A: Whatever you want! Your best Scentsy wear to show your Scentsy pride! Scentsy provides great training tools and advice on how to have a successful party, but the way you run your parties—and your business—is entirely up to you. From formal presentations to completely unstructured gatherings to one-on-one visits, the choice is yours. Scentsy intentionally keeps the product line and pricing simple because that makes it easy for Consultants to relax and be themselves. I think that’s why a lot of my party hosts decide to sign up to join and sell Scentsy, because they see how fun and easy it is to sell Scentsy!
Q: What is the required sales quota required per month?
A: This policy just updated April 2013. The new policy is that in order to remain a Consultant, you need to place at least 150 PRV (Personal Retail Volume) in orders during one month out of every three months. You are free to schedule as many or as few parties as you like and sell as much or as little product as you like, as long as you meet that 150 every 3 months. There are no monthly requirements, or order minimums. You can also act as your own Host and Consultant (and get all of the free and discounted Scentsy products!). You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to sell Scentsy and the $150 requirement really is super easy to achieve. It also helps keep your momentum going so you’re not having to always start all over again every few months.
Q: What if this just doesn’t work for me?
A: At Scentsy we realize that, even with the best of intentions on both sides, not all partnerships are meant to be. As a Consultant or a Host you’re free to leave Scentsy at any time – there is no cancellation penalty. The costs to join Scentsy include the Starter Kit and workstation access, so the risks are very minimal. I didn’t know if it would work out for me either, so my goal was to make back the $99 Scentsy Startup Kit cost the first month, so I could quit if I wanted to and not have a big risk or a bunch of inventory to get rid of. I made that back, and more… and the rest is history!
Q: Is Scentsy only in the United States?
A: You can buy and sell Scentsy anywhere in the United States, Guam, Canada, and Puerto Rico (and may APO addresses all over the world). Scentsy Europe is limited open, so you can now buy or sell Scentsy in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, and Austria as well. Scentsy recently opened in Mexico and Australia and New Zealand and are growing really well there too… come join us! Other countries are sure to follow soon.
